From Sriram: KYM and KHYF

A open letter from Mr. Sriram to the yoga community

Subject: KYM and KHYF
Dear friends of Yoga, of KYM and of the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya and Sri Desikachar,
A few after-thoughts to my Email dated 17th of October with the subcject “Of Yoga and KHYF“ which seems to have raised a few questions.
I wish to reiterate that I had spoken to all the women who had lodged the police-complaint and written the Email with their consent. They are not mere allegations.
In the meanwhile KYM has distanced itself unconditionally from Kausthub and from all teachers of KHYF. I understand , from my conversations with different people in India long-term teachers of Sri Desikachar as well as of Sri Krishnamacharya directly, and who are involved with the re-organising of KYM , that they are undertaking joint efforts to create extended facilities to cater to the needs of international teachers of yoga working in this tradition, as well as for those aspiring to become part of the tradition of yoga as handed down by Sri Krishnamacharya and Sri Desikachar. We could nurture the hope that content-wise and logistics-wise something substantial will come out of this soon. Yoga practitioners and teachers left in the lurch by the murky happenings in KHYF would thereby have a positive alternative to continue their India-linked learning and teaching activities, without having to be associated with KHYF.
As you would know, Sri Desikachar is in no state of health to make or execute decisions. Having installed his secretary as the new director of KHYF and transferred the ownership to his parents, Kausthub seems to have called for a prayer ceremony to alleviate the pain of all involved. It is deplorable that instead of expressing an apology to the women who have laid the police complaint, and to all those who feel betrayed by him, he continues to use his father as a shield to garner the welfare of people who respect and value his father .
To continue working with credibility we all enjoy and to carry the reputable legacies of the two great masters is surely the call of the hour and not certainly being part of a prayer meeting to reinstall a feel-good mood.
With regards

Sriram

I think it would be impossible with someone who has so much ego to ever consider an apology. He probably considers himself a victim of mass conspiracy theory.
